Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Level 1 Trauma CT experience.
Details
- , 20:30-7:00, Monday-Thursday, with holiday rotation required
- Position is based in the CT Scan department supporting adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patients
- Level I Trauma setting with trauma head, musculoskeletal trauma, and general trauma imaging
- Daily caseload varies per shift and location
- No on-call requirement
- May float within scope to sister facilities as needed
- Uses Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Sectra systems
- Charting completed in Epic
Requirements
- months required in a Level I Trauma setting, plus 1 year of general experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- SC state license required (License required if applicable)
- SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with peripheral IV starts required
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and radiation safety required
- Skilled in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- , care, hostital PPE use,ensure patient safety during procedures
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler/agency, as the facility does not supply one
- Scrub color requirement: teal top and black bottom
- All required time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
- Facility may cancel up to one shift per two weeks
- During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed
- First-time travelers may be considered if they have relevant clinical experience
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local for pay purposes
