Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of CT scanning experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based CT Scan department
- Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT scanning experience required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- License required for practicing state (KY or IN); license required if applicable and may be obtained after acceptance
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology required
- Proficiency in patient positioning, imaging technique, and contrast administration required
- Skilled in image quality assessment and quality control techniques
Additional Information
- Utilize imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting department and industry standards
- Verify ordered exams for appropriateness using assessment data and growth and development principles
- Administer contrast and position patients and equipment to achieve optimal images
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional imaging is needed
- Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and respond to questions or concerns using an age-appropriate communication approach
- Oversee and train students in patient care, treatment, and imaging services as part of their clinical training
