Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient rehabilitation position, offering the unique opportunity to build a growing elbow/wrist/hand therapy program with mentorship from an experienced hand therapy specialist.

- Outpatient rehabilitation therapy setting
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week assignment
- Patient population spans school-age children through geriatric adults
- Growing elbow/wrist/hand therapy program with strong local provider referral support
- Up to 24 hours of call-off may be utilized by the facility at no cost during the assignment
Requirements
- Active or eligible Washington state Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program preferred
- Advanced degree or training preferred
- One year of outpatient care experience preferred
- Hand therapy and splinting experience preferred
- BLS HCP certification required within 3 months of hire
- Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity and mobility required
- Visual acuity for patient assessment and documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
- Provide occupational therapy assessment, treatment, and care planning for outpatient populations
- Deliver individualized treatment reflecting each patient's developmental and functional needs
- Mentorship opportunity available from a provider with over 25 years of hand therapy program development experience
- Administer therapeutic treatments using physical agents, biomechanical, and neurophysiological principles
- Utilize electronic medical record for documentation of patient care
- Complete daily billing procedures for services provided
- Provide direction to support staff assisting with occupational therapy patient care
- Monitor safety and effectiveness of patient care equipment and work environment
