Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• hospital facility Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient population includes females of childbearing years, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage), and triage cases
• Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)
• Uses Fetal Monitors for patient care
• Documentation completed in Cerner and Fetalink
• Schedule consists of 3x 12-hour day shifts per week
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA only)
• CPI certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in L&D specialty required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across the L&D continuum including admissions, triage, labor support, and post-delivery care
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
