Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and perform diagnostic imaging in a Massachusetts outpatient CT department, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and applicable state licensure.
Details
- Outpatient CT department utilizing a Philips Iqon CT Scanner
- 32 hours weekly on a rotating schedule (e.g., Sun/Mon/Fri or Mon/Fri/Sat combinations of 6:00 AM-6:30 PM and 7:30 AM-6:00 PM shifts)
- Uses EPIC for charting
- Performs diagnostic and interventional CT imaging of the head/body per physician orders and protocols
Requirements
- ARRT or NMTCB (R), (T), or (N) registration required
- Applicable state licensure required for Radiography and Computed Tomography, if applicable
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- EPIC charting experience
Additional Information
- Prepares, sets up, and operates CT scanners following physician orders and department protocols
- Confirms patient identity and exam details through interview, history, and medical record review
- Explains procedures to patients, addressing physical, emotional, and language needs to ensure compliance and understanding
- Adjusts scanner and injector settings, applying automated and manual technical factors for safe imaging
- Ensures exams are correctly labeled and successfully transmitted to PACS
- Maintains CT facilities in proper working order and stays current on outpatient procedures and department policies
- Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates may be considered
