Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring critical care experience and KS or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in a 25-bed Intensive Care Unit within the main hospital building
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Self-scheduling with a requirement to work every third weekend
- Unit is staffed with charge nurse and unit secretary from 7a-11p; no tech support
- Travelers and agency staff float first, typically to telemetry to take patients or serve as a helper/resource in other areas
- Uses Alaris pumps and GE monitors
- Documentation is completed in MediTech
- Unit performs open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronchoscopy, CRRT, and Impella procedures
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience required
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to change required
- Neuro and trauma experience a plus
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a collaborative, teamwork-driven ICU environment
- Follow AIDET patient experience standards
- Facility is working toward Unit of Distinction and organizational Pathway to Excellence recognition
- Required uniform is royal blue scrubs
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
