Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an acute care night shift position requiring ARRT(R) certification and 1+ year of radiology experience.

Details

  • diagnostic imaging services in an acute care hospital setting
  • Coverage includes NICU, CCU, and ED patient populations
  • Performs radiographic exams, fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and portable radiography
  • Assists with US guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providers
  • Performs c-arm fluoroscopy exams in the OR as requested by surgeons
  • Assists radiology nursing with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements
  • Full-time 0.9 FTE night shift schedule, overnights on a week on/week off rotation starting Wednesday nights
  • 13-week contract length
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances

Requirements

  • Active Montana Radiology Technologist license required if applicable
  • ARRT(R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience, clinical internship experience may be included
  • Graduate of a CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent
  • Demonstrated competency in advanced imaging techniques including fluoroscopic/C-Arm in the OR, trauma, and portable radiography within 6 months of hire
  • Must be able to support and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for 8+ hour shifts
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required

Additional Information

  • Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
  • Educates radiography students, new hires, and radiology techs on diagnostic and operative guidance exams
  • Participates in hospital quality indicator implementation, monitoring, and improvement initiatives
  • Completes documentation required for exam interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval
  • Works in a fast-paced, high-stress healthcare environment requiring sound judgment and professionalism
  • May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases
  • On-call availability may be required to respond to patient and organizational needs
  • Schedule may require working beyond standard hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts
