Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a night-shift diagnostic radiology position requiring ARRT certification in Radiography.

Details

• Night shift
• Weekend position
• 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
• No on-call requirement
• Must be competent in performing portable imaging

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiography required
• Must maintain active registry status and annual continuing education requirements
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required
• No prior experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols and policies
• Verify patient identity, demographics, and pregnancy status prior to imaging
• Assess patient physical condition and adjust exam plans as needed
• Critique, orient, and transmit quality images to PACS
• Document exam completion and any incidents in RIS
• Maintain imaging equipment and report issues to appropriate resources
• Utilize RIS, CIS, PACS, and HIS/SMS systems for documentation and information retrieval
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• React appropriately to emergency situations and ensure patient safety
• Must be able to work UNC holidays as needed
• First-time travelers may be considered
