Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Physical Therapist with acute rehabilitation and neuro patient experience for a travel contract position.
Details
- Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit setting
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Day shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, 5x8 hours from 9:30am-6:00pm (flexible to 9:00am start if needed)
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- CA PT License required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital acute care or inpatient acute rehab required
- Minimum 2 years of overall experience required
- Experience with neuro patients required
- Prior travel experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across acute rehabilitation care
- Skills include gait training, adaptive/assistive device use, wheelchair assessment, and therapeutic modalities such as cryotherapy and ultrasound
- Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury is valued
- Familiarity with orthopedic conditions such as total hip/knee replacement and post-op spinal surgery is beneficial
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
- Returning staff/travelers must have a separation period of at least 1 year to be eligible
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Compliance labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
- All compliance documents due 10 days prior to start date
