Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on night shift, requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Details
- Work in a Medical Surgical Combination unit within a 154-bed hospital
- Unit has 39 beds and serves adult and geriatric patient populations
- Common diagnoses treated include fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
- Uses Paragon EHR system
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend work required
- Floating required on weekends
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- AHA certifications required
- Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
Additional Information
- Facility is a Duke Lifepoint hospital offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health services
- Facility includes a Chest Pain Center and is Joint Commission Accredited
- Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any Lifepoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Permanent address must be more than 60 miles from the facility
- Located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, approximately 20 miles from Asheville, NC
