Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with 3+ years of critical care experience and Cerner proficiency for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in a multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) providing care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
• Utilizes advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
• 3x12-hour shifts on an AM/PM rotation
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 3 years of Cerner charting experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the ICU specialty required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Provide care for critically ill patients using specialized critical care equipment and technology
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
