Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of specialty experience and a DC RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment
• Cerner EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments, including admission and ongoing evaluations, in accordance with policy and procedures
• Deliver age-appropriate, competent, and efficient nursing care across the patient lifespan
• Interpret patient data to determine appropriate nursing interventions and treatment needs
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
