Description

American Traveler is hiring a part-time RN for an Operating Room position on night shift, requiring an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a multidiscipline surgery center with four operating rooms and four procedure rooms serving over 9000 patients per year
• Services include endoscopy, pain management, ENT, general surgery, hand and foot, and orthopedic procedures
• Part-time night shift schedule, either 24 hrs/wk (6:30p-7:00a) or 16 hrs/wk (10:30p-7:00a)
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans within RN scope of practice
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and case management coordination
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Collaborate with an inter-professional care team to promote a positive, healing environment
