Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room position requiring 4+ years of experience and a unique third-shift schedule solo with a single surgical tech.

Details

• Surgical services unit providing care for over 9000 patients per year across four operating rooms and four procedure rooms
• Services include endoscopy, pain management, ENT, general surgery, hand and foot surgery, and orthopedic procedures
• Third shift schedule of 2 shifts per week, alternating between 18:30-07:00 and 22:30-07:00
• Alternating weekly schedule of Sunday/Monday one week and Wednesday/Thursday the next, non-negotiable
• Works solo on third shift with only one surgical tech

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• BLS certification required
• 4+ years of OR nursing experience required, preferably from a larger comparable hospital
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong computer systems aptitude or ability to be trained
• Last 4 of SSN and MM/DD of DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and direct patient care in the OR setting
• Coordinates patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities alongside the care team
• Delegates and oversees tasks performed by other care team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
