Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room Circulator with 2+ years of experience and strength across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Operating Room department within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule (6:30a-5p or 6:30a-7p) with call requirements
• 13-week assignment duration
• Float required between campuses as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start
• 2+ years of recent OR circulator experience required
• Experience strength in Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, and Gyn required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• CNOR certification preferred
• AHCA fingerprinting required prior to start date for all FL travelers
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Serve as a member of the surgical team, working alongside Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and ORTs to provide patient care in the OR
• Ensure supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families throughout procedures
• Update physician preference cards as needed
• Scrub in and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Care provided according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
