Description
American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring telemetry experience and NIH Stroke Certification.
Details
- Neuro Tele unit within a hospital setting
- 7p-7:30a shift schedule
- 13 week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
- Rotating weekends with 2 weekend day commitments and flexibility to meet unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required per facility floating policy
- Uses Meditech for charting
- Performs peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and NGT insertions
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary licenses not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Neuro-stroke, seizure, or other neurological disorder experience preferred
- Cardiac and neuro-surgical experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO candidates)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care to patients with neurological and neuro-surgical conditions
- Navy scrub top and pant with navy or white scrub jacket required
- Nails must be clean and healthy, hair neat with no extreme styles or colors
- Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Visible body art should be covered when feasible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
- Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
