Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a high-volume Level II trauma center requiring TNCC, CPI, and ENPC certifications.

Details

• Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center Emergency Department with over 100,000 visits annually
• 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios typically 4:1 medical, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Support staff includes techs for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
• Uses Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Charting completed in Cerner
• Schedule requires every other weekend with flexibility to meet department needs; block scheduling not available
• No floating outside the ED, but must be willing to float to all sections within the ED
• Shift runs 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start; ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must be flexible to work in all areas of the ED
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Deliver patient-centered emergency care using AIDET principles and maintain updated patient status boards throughout each visit
