Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC and NIHSS certifications on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Emergency Department unit with 50 beds and approximately 68 staff members
• Staffed with 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/Medics per shift
• Patient ratios estimated at 1:4 or 1:5, though not guaranteed
• Uses EKG, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose equipment
• Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ED experience required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for complete ED care needs across all patient populations
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Stroke experience preferred
• Ideal candidates are energetic, collaborative, and communicate effectively with staff and providers
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility - no local candidates accepted
