Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of recent ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department unit with 50 beds and approximately 68 staff members
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Patient ratios typically 1:4 or 1:5, though not guaranteed
- Uses EKG, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose equipment
- Charts in Meditech EMR
- Handles complete emergency department care needs
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital ED experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)
- CPI Blue Card certification required
- Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Stroke experience preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must demonstrate energetic, collaborative personality with strong communication skills with staff and providers
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- No local candidates accepted
