Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NY RN license in hand and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a tertiary care hospital with 528 staffed beds
• 26-bed unit caring primarily for CHF patients, acute MIs, post device care (pacemakers), and arrhythmia patients
• 51-bed unit caring for general surgery patients including colon rectal, ostomies, plastic and cosmetic center patients, breast procedures, and reconstruction surgeries
• High volume unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand required, no exceptions
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required

Additional Information

• First time travelers are accepted
• Locals not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white
• Call off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment; being placed on-call in lieu of a call-off counts as a called-off shift
