Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Level I trauma CT experience.
Details
- Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting within the CT Scan unit
- Daily caseload varies by shift and location
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday-Sunday, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM at the Main campus
- Includes holiday rotation and on-call rotation with staff
- May require floating within scope to Interventional Radiology and to sister facilities
- Uses Siemens CT equipment, PACS, and Sectra
- Charting completed in Epic
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(CT), ARRT (R), BLS certification required
- SC RN license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year CT experience preferred; 6 months Level I Trauma experience required
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Proficient in radiation safety practices and peripheral IV starts
- Able to work in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings
- Radiation badge must be supplied by the agency, as the facility does not provide one
- First-time travelers accepted if they have prior relevant experience
- Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
- During hurricane season (June-November), travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties
- Teal top and black bottom scrub color required
- One-time $20 parking fee applies for nights and weekends
