Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Siemens CT experience with night shift availability (license required if applicable).
Details
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Holiday rotation required
- On-call rotation with staff
- May float within scope to Interventional Radiology and to sister facilities as needed
- Daily caseload of approximately 6 patients per hour
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Performs CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies
- Utilizes Siemens CT equipment and PACS for image display and post-processing
Requirements
- BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certifications required
- SC license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year CT experience preferred; 6 months Level 1 Trauma CT experience required
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma setting experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Radiation badge must be supplied by the traveler’s agency prior to start
Additional Information
- Works within a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status and 865 staffed beds
- Required to attend staff meetings
- Scrub requirement: teal top and black bottom
- First-time travelers accepted if they have prior relevant CT experience
- Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for manager approval
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks based on census needs
- Staff may be required to support emergency response efforts during hurricane season (June–November)
