Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse Case Manager for a Specialty Surgery service line, requiring an active Alaska RN license at time of submittal and at least one year of nursing experience.
Details
- Ambulatory outpatient clinic setting providing patient-centered nursing care across the continuum of care
- Case management and utilization review responsibilities within a specialty surgery service line
- Monday through Friday schedule, 0800-1700
- 13-week assignment length
- Floats to other departments or assignments as needed
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Alaska required at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- Case Management certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional Information
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
- Administers medications and treatments per provider orders and policy
- Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up services
- Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
- Advocates for patients and helps them navigate the healthcare system
- Provides culturally responsive, patient-centered care and education
- Participates in quality and performance improvement activities
- Assignment start date is contingent on fingerprint card processing, beginning no less than 6 weeks after cards are received
