Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - ICU with a WA or compact license and at least one completed travel assignment for a night shift ACU/CCU position.

Details

  • Work in the ACU/CCU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 11 ICU beds
  • Care for a mixed patient population including CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, post-cath, and CVA overflow patients
  • Some surgical patients including vascular, abdominal, and GI cases
  • Unit regularly manages both ICU and telemetry level patients
  • Administer drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin
  • Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, and femoral arterial sheath monitoring
  • Sheaths may be present but travelers are not responsible for pulling them
  • 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730 and 0700-1930) totaling 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required to ICU level or below throughout the hospital
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
  • Art line, Impella, and/or IABP experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to a mix of ICU and telemetry-level patients
  • Professional scrubs of any color are permitted
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
