Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with prior Siemens CT system experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in the Computerized Tomography unit performing diagnostic imaging procedures
• Perform CT scans on adult and pediatric patients including oral and IV contrast administration
• Utilizes Epic EMR, PACS system, and IMPAX service tools for image transfer and order management
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• No weekends or on-call required
• Must be able to work UNC Holidays as needed

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT) or registry eligible with proof of diploma from accredited program
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Must become fully registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status and continuing education annually
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior Siemens CT equipment experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and ensure patient safety and understanding throughout procedures
• Obtain and manipulate CT images per protocol, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction
• Administer oral and IV contrast following safe injection procedures and check lab values prior to administration per protocol
• Transmit and verify images through PACS, Epic EMR, and QC stations, and manage order accuracy and duplicate order cancellation
• Review patient charts and reports for correlation and maintain accurate documentation of incidents
• Precept new employees and students as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
