Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and peripheral vascular procedures.
Details
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
- Adult patient population
- Procedures include left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, device placement, and renal cases
- Uses fluoroscopy, Philips imaging equipment, and ultrasound
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Hours may vary slightly based on patient scheduling
- Call required 12-15 days per month
- Weekends are call-only, averaging 1 weekend per month
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the cath lab service line
- ARRT or RCIS certification accepted
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Fluoro Permit preferred
- License required if applicable
- Experience with cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and vascular closure systems preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Prior travel experience strongly preferred
- Any EMR charting experience required, Altera experience preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and maintaining sterile field
- Perform room circulator and scrub duties as needed
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
- Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products
- Local candidates accepted only within 150 miles for RN/LVN roles; Allied/CNA local candidates not accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule applying
- Previous perm staff must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a travel employee
- Required lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a documented plan in place
