Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and peripheral vascular procedures.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Adult patient population
• Procedures include left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, device placement, and renal cases
• Uses fluoroscopy, Philips imaging equipment, and ultrasound
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Hours may vary slightly based on patient scheduling
• Call required 12-15 days per month
• Weekends are call-only, averaging 1 weekend per month

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the cath lab service line
• ARRT or RCIS certification accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Fluoro Permit preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience with cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and vascular closure systems preferred
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Prior travel experience strongly preferred
• Any EMR charting experience required, Altera experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and maintaining sterile field
• Perform room circulator and scrub duties as needed
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products
• Local candidates accepted only within 150 miles for RN/LVN roles; Allied/CNA local candidates not accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule applying
• Previous perm staff must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a travel employee
• Required lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a documented plan in place
