Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 1.5+ years of CVICU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in the Cardiovascular ICU on the 2nd floor of a Level 3 trauma hospital
• 8-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and Carotid diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 2:1 with occasional 1:1
• Uses Impella, IABP, and CRRT equipment
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, or as needed to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required per scheduled rotation

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required, with 1 year of CVICU experience after orientation
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys license verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures
• Must start on one of the facility's designated 2026 orientation dates
• Scrubs of any color accepted as long as professional in appearance
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
