Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a NC or compact license and Cerner experience.

Details

• 355-bed hospital housing a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU
• Medical Surgical Combination unit on 4 North with 18 beds
• Adult/geriatric medical surgical patient population with common diagnoses including COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end of life care/hospice, falls, weakness, sepsis, and infection
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps
• Cerner EHR
• Night shift schedule (7P-7A)
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required as needed to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units, taking med surg level patients

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Cerner experience required
• IV competency required
• Charge experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care on a busy medical surgical floor requiring strong patient advocacy and ability to keep pace

• Any scrub color accepted
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
