Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of Canon/Toshiba CT scanner experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 3rd shift rotating schedule.
Details
- Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 74-80 beds
- CT department supporting inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients requiring CT services
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Works independently in CT with onsite support from an X-ray tech
- Transports patients to and from exams
- Uses Canon (Toshiba) CT scanners, including an 80-slice hospital scanner and 40-slice units depending on time-frame needs
- Uses Medrad Stellant injector for contrast administration
- EPIC EMR
- 3rd shift, 7 days on/7 days off rotation, 36 hours per week
- Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday shifts run 8:30 PM-6:30 AM
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday shifts run 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation included (every other weekend)
- Holiday coverage as needed
- No floating requirements
- No on-call or call-back requirements
Requirements
- BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 12 months of core CT experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- 2+ years of experience with Canon/Toshiba 40 and 80-slice CT scanners preferred
- 2+ years of experience with Medrad Stellant injector
- EPIC experience required
- Proficient in peripheral IV starts with IV contrast injection
- Strong knowledge of basic CT principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Information
- Department supervisor provides support on the unit
- Orientation includes at least one shift to learn unit flow
- Scrubs of any color permitted
- Clinical interview required, with final approval given by the manager
- First-time travelers considered upon review
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
- Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
