Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT (R)(CT) certification and NJ state licensure to work in a hospital radiology department.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiology/CT Scanning department
• PM shift, 4x10-hour shifts including overnights (9p-7a) Sunday through Wednesday
• On-call responsibilities required
• Potential to float to other Morristown locations, including a sister hospital
• Uses Epic for charting
• Assigned to CT rooms 1, 2, and 3 with duties including patient prep, contrast administration, and equipment maintenance
• Handles emergent, trauma, and Code Grey cases requiring immediate image acquisition and processing

Requirements

• ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certification required
• NJ State X-Ray License required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• HS diploma/GED and completion of a Radiography technical training program required
• CT registration and venipuncture skills preferred
• CPR certification mandatory
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include obtaining supplies, verifying patient identification, monitoring patients during contrast administration, and maintaining sterile fields
• Communicates with patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding throughout procedures
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
• Participates in daily inventory, equipment maintenance, and QA/QC processes per ACR specifications
• May serve as Point staff, coordinating workflow, triaging procedures, and managing emergent/unscheduled cases
• Responds promptly to Code Grey, trauma, and partial trauma cases, notifying radiologists of critical findings
• Local candidates accepted
