Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a hospital-based CT Scan department.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scan department
• 5x8 day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Call, weekend, and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• 1 year of mammography diagnostic experience required
• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program validated by active ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current ARRT Registry in Radiography RT(R)
• Current ARRT (CT) certification
• Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required if applicable
• Must maintain continuing education hours as required by licensing agency

Additional Information

• Performs CT procedures, image processing, and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
• Verifies patient identity, orders, and history prior to exams
• Performs and documents peripheral venipuncture as needed for exams
• Monitors patients continuously throughout exams and follows radiation protection and ALARA protocols
• Adjusts exam protocols for pediatric patients per ACR Image Gently guidelines
• Assists radiologists and providers with exams and procedures as necessary
• Participates in image quality assurance and peer review processes
• Performs equipment warm-up and quality control checks, reporting malfunctions as needed
• Wears assigned personal dosimetry
• May assist with training new employees and supervising imaging students on clinical rotation
