Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma/Med-Surg Telemetry unit position requiring SD or compact RN licensure and prior telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting.
Details
- Trauma/Med-Surg Telemetry unit in a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital
- 13-week assignment with 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Typical patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
- May float to similar Med-Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active SD or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BSN not required for this position
- Prior telemetry and Med-Surg nursing experience preferred given unit type
Additional Information
- Provide individualized nursing care utilizing the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation
- Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs in collaboration with an inter-professional care team
- Perform age-specific patient assessments, education, triage, and nursing interventions
- Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
- Navy blue scrubs required
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Candidates with prior employment at any Sanford Health location must disclose this for review, and must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
- Local candidates may be considered, though a reduced rate may apply for those within 80 miles of the facility
