Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma/Med-Surg Telemetry unit position requiring SD or compact RN licensure and prior telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting.

Details

• Trauma/Med-Surg Telemetry unit in a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital
• 13-week assignment with 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Typical patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• May float to similar Med-Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN not required for this position
• Prior telemetry and Med-Surg nursing experience preferred given unit type

Additional Information

• Provide individualized nursing care utilizing the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation
• Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs in collaboration with an inter-professional care team
• Perform age-specific patient assessments, education, triage, and nursing interventions
• Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
