Description

American Traveler is hiring a Dual Modality CT/Rad Tech with 2+ years of combined CT scanning and general radiology experience for a night shift radiology assignment.

Details

• Radiology department setting performing both CT and general radiographic imaging
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography (R) required
• BLS certification required
• State license required for KY or IN (can be obtained after offer); license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in both CT scanning and general radiology
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques
• Familiarity with image quality standards, infection control, and quality control protocols

Additional Information

• Verify exam orders and assess appropriateness based on patient data and developmental considerations
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures to ensure optimal image quality
• Operate imaging and computer equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine need for additional imaging
• Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Educate patients about procedures in an age-appropriate manner
• Maintain infection control and quality control standards throughout all procedures
• May supervise and train students during clinical rotations
