Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring CVICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.
Details
- Cardiovascular ICU unit within a hospital setting
- 10-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio and total care support staffing model
- Uses Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors, IABP, and Impella devices
- Documentation via Meditech EMR
- Unit performs open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation
- Night shift schedule, 7P-7A, 3 shifts per week with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Floating required to Medical ICU and floor units
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS (or ALS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Certification required for CVICU
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or relevant ICU experience required
- Experience with telemetry, pressors, positive inotropes, pacemakers, chest tubes, cath/EP lab recovery, and pericardial drains
- Skilled in frequent site and vital sign assessments
- Charge nurse experience for night shift preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide advanced cardiovascular ICU nursing care including monitoring and management of complex cardiac and post-surgical patients
- Unit recognized as a Unit of Distinction with high expectations for quality and patient experience scores
- Royal blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
