Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• 10-bed Cardiovascular ICU with 2:1 patient ratios
• Total care support staffing model with unit secretaries and techs available
• Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps, GE bedside monitors, IABP, and Impella devices
• Documentation via Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7P-7A
• Scheduled for 3 shifts per week, including 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Floating required to Medical ICU and floor units
• Unit performs open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS or ALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for CVICU
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU experience required
• Experience with telemetry, pressors, positive inotropes, pacemakers, chest tubes, Cath/EP lab recovery, and pericardial drains required
• Skilled in performing frequent site and vital sign assessments
• Charge nurse experience for night shift preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for complex cardiovascular ICU patients, including post-surgical and ECMO cases
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Recognized as a Unit of Distinction with high expectations for quality and patient experience scores
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
