Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification for a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab.

Details

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting
• 5x8 day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• 2 full weekends (Fri-Sun) per month depending on staffing levels
• Call is split with permanent staff, including holidays and weekend Sat/Sun 24-hour call
• Procedures include right and left cardiac catheterization, PCI, pacemaker/Micra/ICD implants, cardioversion, TEE, peripheral vascular, interventional radiology, balloon pump, integrated IVUS/FFR/IFR, and Rotablator atherectomy
• Uses fluoroscopy, GE Innova IGS, ultrasound, and PACS equipment
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab / EP Technologist
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
• Prior travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with venous access, central venous access, and vascular closure systems preferred
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Scrubs provided
• Candidates must be able to shave for OSHA Fit Testing as CAPRs/PAPRs are not provided and no exemptions are accepted
• Subcontractor agency travelers must complete an OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to start
• Clinicians cannot work more than 1 year as a traveler at this facility without taking a 6-month break before returning
• Local candidates within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
