Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience to perform CT studies and assist with CT-guided procedures on night shifts.
Details
- CT Scan unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Serves neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Performs CT examinations including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest studies
- Utilizes GE imaging equipment and PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval
- Night shift schedule of 4x10 hours, Sunday-Wednesday 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography and ARRT CT certification required
- CRT certification required
- IV/Venipuncture certification required
- BLS certification required upon hire
- Radiology Fluoroscopy certification required within 180 days of hire (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, preferably in an acute care facility
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or successful graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and technical imaging factors
- Experience with multiple computerized systems and PACS
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture
Additional Information
- Coordinates and produces quality CT studies according to physician orders and established protocols
- Performs venipuncture and medication administration with a focus on patient safety
- Accurately documents care and charge capture in the electronic health record
- Assesses and educates patients prior to CT exams to ensure safety and cooperation
- Works with high-risk and critically ill patients across all age groups
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Returning staff/travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
- Accepts local candidates at the local rate
- 50-mile radius rule applies
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
