Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a fast-paced acute care and outpatient CT department covering weekend day shifts.
Details
- Weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings
- High volume of general CT, CTA, CT Perfusion, and CT Cardiac studies
- Uses Siemens Somatom AS and Canon Aquilon One CT scanners
- PACS system used, with Philips and Siemens equipment experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Performs abdomen and pelvis, chest, spine and musculoskeletal imaging with and without contrast
- Special procedures include brain perfusion, vascular CTA, transplant studies, aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and colonography
- Must transport patients and be proficient in perfusion scanning for stroke and trauma cases
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- CMRT certification preferred
- State or Compact license required at time of submittal, if applicable
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
- Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs, with venipuncture experience preferred
Additional Information
- Fast-paced environment requiring comfort with high patient volumes
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Onboarding modules must be completed onsite during orientation, typically requiring 2-3 hours for allied staff
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within this radius will not be accepted
