Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to perform CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy imaging procedures for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
Details
- Day shift schedule with options of 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM, or 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Performs CT imaging along with general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
- Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to appropriate locations
Requirements
- ARRT registration as R.T.(R)(CT) or R.T.(R) required
- BLS certification required
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) license required in state of practice; license required if applicable
- Advanced CT certification required in OR and HI, preferred in CA
- Fluoroscopy license required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification required in CA if administering contrast materials via venipuncture
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty, with recent experience within the last 3 months
Additional Information
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients from adolescence through geriatric age groups
- Maintains accurate records, files, and billing information
- Ensures integrity of patient medical images and data in accordance with HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
- Performs routine maintenance, calibration of equipment, and manages supply inventory
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
