Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist requiring ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification along with an active NJ X-Ray License.

Details

• Radiology department performing CT scanning procedures
• Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday schedule, 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM (39 total hours, 37.5 billable hours)
• Call and holiday coverage included in schedule
• May float to other Morristown-area locations and sister hospital nearby
• Uses Epic for charting
• On-call required

Requirements

• HS diploma/GED required
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program
• ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certification required
• NJ State X-Ray License required
• BLS certification required
• CT registration and CPR certification required
• Venipuncture skills required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs CT scanning procedures including obtaining supplies, preparing requisitions, and maintaining sterile field and instruments
• Communicates with patients and families before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity
• Verifies patient identification per facility policy and observes patients for reactions to contrast injections
• Maintains adequate linen, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage supplies in scanning rooms
• Adheres to CT room assignments and participates in inventory and stocking of supplies
• Cleans and maintains CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use
• May be assigned as Point staff to triage procedures, coordinate emergent and unscheduled requests, and ensure efficient workflow
• Screens patients for contrast allergies and medication incompatibilities
• Follows established protocols for Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma cases requiring immediate image processing and radiologist notification
• Maintains QA/QC requirements per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications
