Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring at least 1 year of skilled nursing or 24/7 acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Free-standing 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
- Adult patient population requiring inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other high-acuity conditions
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, and BGM
- EPIC EMR used for charting
- 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Call requirements apply
- No current float requirement, though floating to a nearby satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- AHA-issued certifications required
- 1+ year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical floor due to high patient acuity
- All nurses assist CNAs and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety
- 30-minute unpaid breaks are mandatory each shift, with two additional paid 15-minute breaks per 12-hour shift
- Staff must clock out for breaks and are not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval
- Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
- Local candidates are not accepted
