Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring at least 1 year of skilled nursing or 24/7 acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Free-standing 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
• Adult patient population requiring inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other high-acuity conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, and BGM
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Call requirements apply
• No current float requirement, though floating to a nearby satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• AHA-issued certifications required
• 1+ year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment required
• Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical floor due to high patient acuity
• All nurses assist CNAs and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety
• 30-minute unpaid breaks are mandatory each shift, with two additional paid 15-minute breaks per 12-hour shift
• Staff must clock out for breaks and are not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval
• Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
• Local candidates are not accepted
