Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on the Short Stay Unit requiring 2 years of experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within the Short Stay Unit (SSU) setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population with 1:4 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• 13-week assignment with every other weekend required
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in MS/Tele specialty required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration)
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring and emergency response
• Participate in required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
• Experience with teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
• No blocked or custom schedule requests permitted
