Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with at least 2 years of emergency department experience and Epic charting proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Emergency Department setting caring for combined adult/pediatric patients across the full spectrum of acuity
- Day shift (3x12 hours, 10:00-22:30) or evening shift (3x12 hours, 14:00-02:30) schedules available
- 36 or 48 hour weekly options, with overtime not billable until after 48 hours if that option is chosen
- Floating may be required within the facility or to nearby affiliated facilities, with priority floating to West Valley Hospital (approximately 15 minutes away)
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license required (pending licensure acceptable at submission, but must be finalized before start)
- Active Oregon CNA license required and in hand at time of submission (pending CNA licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- ENPC or PALS certification required
- TNCC certification preferred
- BSN preferred
- Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience preferred
- Experience in high-volume, high-acuity EDs and large hospital settings preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and emergency medication administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG preferred
- Experience with care of ventilated patients, continuous IV paralytics, and continuous IV sedation preferred
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring preferred
Additional Information
- Provide quality patient care within the Emergency Department across all levels of acuity
- Perform triage duties as part of daily responsibilities
- Up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules required prior to start and annually thereafter
- Candidates may only be submitted to one position within the health system, with additional unit preferences noted separately at submission
- RTO must be finalized prior to submission, as later requests may affect consideration or contract status
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Former employees of this health system are not eligible for travel assignments until six months after their termination date
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
