Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Float Pool position at a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring at least 2 years of circulating OR experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Level 1 trauma hospital with a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms
• OR Float Pool position; may float between ORs but not between locations
• Adult patient population only (no pediatrics)
• Handles all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Excludes cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro service lines
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Weekday schedule varies based on unit needs; no block schedule available
• Late stay required up to four times during a 13-week period

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• Scrub experience not required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Circulate in a high-volume, high-acuity Level 1 trauma OR setting
• Limited time off approved during the assignment
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Late stay responsibilities may extend past scheduled shift end time, particularly during summer and December
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
