Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a CO or compact license and prior ICU experience.
Details
- Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital environment
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Uses Epic for charting
- Floating to other departments may be required based on scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) required, no pending license accepted
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS, none expiring prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the CVICU specialty required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
- Provide therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards
- Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results, with a specific vendor required
- Former permanent staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
