Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification for a general ultrasound position.
Details
- General ultrasound and OB/GYN unit within a hospital setting
- Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
- Work settings include Emergency Department, High Risk OB, ICU, Maternal Fetal Medicine, NICU, Obstetrics, PICU, and vascular studies
- Performs abdominal, pelvic, vascular, small parts, and OB/GYN ultrasound exams across all trimesters
- Procedures include paracentesis and thoracentesis assistance, transplant studies, and portable exams
- Uses Samsung ultrasound equipment and PACS system
- 5x8 hour day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call and/or weekend coverage may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography required
- ARDMS certification required; AB, OB/GYN, and PS specialties preferred
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with fetal anatomical survey, umbilical cord Doppler, and multiple pregnancy studies preferred
- Experience with abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen exams
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
Additional Information
- Performs comprehensive general ultrasound and obstetric/gynecologic sonography studies
- Conducts vascular studies including aorta, renal, bladder, and ovarian imaging
- Handles transplant imaging for liver and renal patients
- RTO must be submitted with application and some holiday coverage is expected
- Facility conducts an on-site drug screen including marijuana testing prior to start; a positive result results in automatic cancellation
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Pending license accepted at time of submission but must be active before the start date
