Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings
- Inpatient and outpatient patient population
- 5x8 hour day shifts starting at 0700, with one late shift per week starting at 0800
- On-call requirement of 1 night per week plus every 4th weekend call rotation
- Participates in late shift and on-call mandate rotation, including holiday on-call as needed
- May float to Interventional Radiology when Cath Lab case load is low
- Charting completed in Cerner
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in Cath Lab/EP procedures, including previous travel experience
- ACLS, BLS, ARRT-R required; ARRT Advanced Cert, CCI RCES, and CCI RCIS preferred
- Indiana state license required (license required if applicable)
- Pending state license accepted if active by start date
- Community Hospital and Trauma Level II experience required; Teaching Hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Cerner charting experience required
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and access site preparation
- Experience with STEMI response, Rotablator atherectomy, EP ablations, pacemaker implants, and coil embolization
- Skilled in vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, Watchman, and Impella insertion
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for cardiac catheterization, EP studies, and interventional procedures
- Perform pacemaker insertion/programming, AICD insertion, cardiac mapping, and cardioversion
- Assist with vascular procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Maintain sterile technique and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment including fluoroscopy, Philips, and Siemens systems
- Light blue scrubs provided
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Former employees must be separated from the facility for 3 years before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, with holiday RTO requests requiring willingness to work one of the three major holidays
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
