Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN Perioperative Circulator for a Pediatric OR position requiring level I trauma experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a Level I trauma hospital
- Days shift, 0630-1700, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Provides direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
- One year of Level I trauma experience as a Perioperative Circulator in Pediatrics required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
Additional Information
- Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities may be compromised during surgical or invasive procedures
- Individualizes care based on patient health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure
- Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of care using the nursing process
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
- Facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts
