Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of strong labor nursing experience and the ability to circulate own C-sections.
Details
- LDRP unit with High Risk/Antepartum care
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Rare floating to NICU as helping hands
- Holiday coverage required
- Facility performs 300+ births per month
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP
- Preferred certifications: AWHONN Intermediate and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Must be able to circulate own C-Section independently
- Prior travel experience required unless candidate has experience in a similar facility
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong labor and delivery nursing skills including vaginal delivery and C-section circulation
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, antepartum care, and postpartum care for cesarean and vaginal delivery patients
- Perform triage of obstetrical patients and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Utilize IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including starting and maintaining IVs
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Willing to float within scope of experience as needed within the hospital
- Must live at least 50 miles from all CHN facilities to be considered
- First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have experience in a similar facility
- Returning travelers are welcome back without any waiting period between contracts
- Maximum RTO of 10 days must be submitted with initial application
- Seal Blue scrub color required
