Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Med/Surg and Stepdown experience with at least one year of travel nursing experience.
Details
- Medicine Specialty Unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours)
- Level one trauma center experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
- Certifications must be from AHA only
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
