Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring one year of travel experience and OK or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Medicine Specialty Unit within a hospital setting
- Cares for a variety of patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 48 hours weekly
- Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State or Compact/eNLC)
- BLS certification from AHA
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after reaching this limit
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced, with no flexibility on start dates
- First-time travelers may be considered
