Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring two years of recent acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Floating required as needed
• Free onsite parking available

Requirements

• Active WI RN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including strict criteria for rhythm identification and interpretation
• References not required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management
• Experience with wound care, wound vac, and isolation precautions preferred
• Familiarity with gastrointestinal, endocrine, orthopedic, and neurological patient care preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Candidates with three years of Med/Surg experience may be considered even without prior travel experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
