Description

American Traveler is hiring a CV Invasive Specialist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ARRT or RCIS certification and prior cardiology/cath lab experience.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures
• Acts as scrub assistant maintaining sterile conditions during procedures
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors/documents procedure images from the control room
• Day shift, five 8-hour shifts per week
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred
• 1 year of experience in the specialty being submitted for is required
• Registered ARRT required, or RCIS required within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification, or RCES
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
• Fluoroscopy certification required
• License required if applicable
• Must have an active license with no pending status allowed
• Radiation badges supplied by vendor

Additional Information

• Provides patient care under the supervision of the RN
• Educates patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post procedure care
• Maintains cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for interventions and diagnostic procedures
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per department standards
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screen processing may take at least 2 weeks; candidates should report for drug screen within 24 hours of commitment
